Noudar
May 2018

The Parque de Natureza de Noudar (Noudar Nature Park) is part of the Herdade da Coitadinha (The Coitadinha Farmstead), near Barrancos, and is confined by two rivers. Although extended zones of holm oaks, as well as grassland and olive groves cover most of the area, the mountain complex has preserved wood areas and rocky environments. The imposing castle was occupied by the Romans, the Visigoths and the Muslims, and was left to its decay since the mid-19th century.
The Grupo do Risco occupied the Herdade da Coitadinha and for six days walked through the amazing landscape of the Alentejo montado, in a very sunny, chilly and flowering Spring. From the old castle wide landscapes stood out, over cork trees and grazing livestock.
